Executive Assessment and Coaching (individual development)
All of our executive coaching is based on an individual’s assessed motivation and interpersonal skill level. Coaching goals include:
- Performance enhancement–such as helping an executive move from talented contributor to business leader or to help an executive refine his/her skill at influencing and directing others.
- Performance remediation–to help executives remediate difficulties in managing the performance of subordinates or working with an executive to recognize his/her role within an organization and how best to meet the expectations of the role.
Selection Assessment
Our assessment tools help organizations select the candidates with the best “fit”. We define “fit” as being a match between the needs of the organization and a candidate’s motivation, leadership potential, and interpersonal skills–all quantified and measured. This goes beyond the traditional definition of fit which is limited to technical skills, past relevant experience, and a soft accounting of motivation, leadership potential, and interpersonal skills.
Motivation Training
The study of employee motivation has revealed three motivational priorities that are relevant in all organizations: The need for power, affiliation, and achievement. Our training in motivation has two components:
-An online assessment of work motivation for each participant
-A half to full day (depending on number of participants) training that covers:
- What results mean–allowing participants to interpret their own results
- The benefits of using key words and strategies to maximize the motivation of subordinates
Other group training modules include: Improving Performance by Coaching Subordinates, Interpersonal Intelligence (how to increase one’s emotional intelligence and put it to work at work) and Group Emotional Intelligence and What it Means for Team Performance.
